The Knightstown Chamber meets the first Thursday each month for its regular monthly meeting. The Board of Directors meets at 5:45 p.m. with the regular meeting following at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Hoosier Gym classroom (Adams Street entrance). All members are encouraged to attend and participate in making decisions to improve and support our community. Those interested in joining the Chamber are also welcome.

Full Chamber Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Attendees - Jeannie Kraus, Erin Winters, Amy Blackwell, Rusty Johnson, Bill Windsor, Steve Brooks, Joni Roberts, Norm Carroll, Neil Shaneyfelt, Merv Kilmer, Lin Ebbert, Sue Hood
Sue Hood asked if the Board interested in advertising in Spring Posters for High School; recently got a call from a company doing ads.
Announced that Sally Conyers is Joni Roberts’ Replacement at Ameriana Bank.
Meeting was held to elect officers for 2010.
Board voted to accept Joni’s replacement as treasurer; it was discussed that Sally Conyers would accept the position.
Jeannie Kraus motioned to keep Joni Roberts on the board as she was still in Henry county and wanted to participate in Knightstown Chamber and to vote Sally in as board member and treasurer. Vote unanimous.
Motion to make Joni Roberts Vice President.
Motion to make Lin Ebbert Secretary.
Motion to make Amy Blackwell President.
Vote unanimous on all nominations.
Announced that SBA workshop was successful with 30 in attendance
Board discussed potential new businesses coming to town. It was also mentioned that the town hired a grant writer.
Credit is to be given to Eric Cox as being the driving force behind the installation of the way finding signs.
Also discussed was the potential to add a second billboard heading east.
The Christmas decorations are put up. It was discussed that it would be a nice gesture to thank the town employees for their help throughout the year working on chamber-related requests such as putting the decorations up. The board voted to give the town employees a lunch certificate from the American Legion. The certificate would go in the employees paycheck. Jeannie Kraus will follow up by checking with the town on how many employees.
