The Fish Wagon Lottery will be held on Thursday, March 10, 6:30 p.m. at the Hoosier Gym meeting room. Open to Knightstown Not-for-Profit organizations only. The Henry County Health Office (Lenn Smith) will also be present to address potential renters.

Farmers Market – Discussion ensued on whether there was still an interest and do we need to charge vendors. It was a group decision to make it a courtesy to the residents of Knightstown and have it as no charge to vendors and only have it on Saturday morning. Terry Guerin said he would see if Town Employees can block the Square
Knightstown Town Board members Terry Guerin and Clyde South spoke to the group. The Board still has hopes of generating new local business and is continuing to look into getting grants. Unfortunately, the income study that was done by Ball State was done by telephone and lots of people were missed, therefore, the town did not qualify for any grants. New figures will be available from the recent census and there are still hopes of obtaining future grants. Both Terry and Clyde were in favor of inviting the New Castle Henry County Economic Development Director to an upcoming Chamber meeting. They also stressed that they would like to have a close working relationship with the Chamber and either one or both of them will try to be present at future Chamber meetings.
Knightstown Neighborhood Crimewatch – Danny Webber announced that the 4th Annual Crimewatch Day will be Saturday, April 30, at the Hoosier Gym. Crimewatch will also be sponsoring a Children’s Fishing Derby on Tuesday, August 2, at Sunset Park.
The next Chamber meeting will be Thursday, April 7.
Meeting adjourned.
