    NOVEMBER 2009  

 

    THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5 - Chamber monthly meeting

    ** Board meets at 5:45 p.m. with regular meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Hoosier Gym classroom (Adams Street entrance). All members are encouraged to attend and participate in making decisions to improve and support our community. Those interested in joining the Chamber are also welcome.

    NOTE: Following the regular meeting, the Chamber will host Gerald Payne, facilitator for the National Guard Academy (formerly the Indiana Soldiers' & Sailors' Children's Home). Mr. Payne will be outlining the services the new facility will be needing and conveying his hope to work with local businesses to fulfill as many of these needs as possible.

    Also, elections for new board members will be held on this date. Members can vote one hour prior to the meeting or one hour after the meeting.

 

    TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 - Guest Speaker

    ** Paul Wyatt from the Small Business Administration will be a special guest speaker. The event will be held at the Sunset Park Shelter House and is open to the community. Light refreshments and networking will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the program immediately following. Mr. Wyatt will be explaining the process on applying for small business loans and other ways that the SBA can help business owners.
